HRP Investigate Two Halifax Robberies

 At 9:30 p.m. a male entered the Shell station at 2616 Robie Street, went behind the counter and threatened the employee while demanding cash and cigarettes. The suspect obtained quantities of each before fleeing. The suspect was described as white, about twenty-years-old, average height, skinny, wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, red sneakers, and a bandana covering his face. No weapon was seen during the incident and nobody was injured.

At 9:56 p.m. a male entered Guardian Drugs, 6199 Coburg Road, produced a handgun and ordered the three staff members present to the ground. He then took cash from the till before fleeing. The suspect was described as white, in his twenties, average height and build, wearing a dark jacket with a hood up, dark pants, red or burgundy shoes, with a bandana or mask partially covering his face. Nobody was injured during the incident. The suspect was last observed going around the corner of the store on foot headed north on Lemarchant Street.

The General Investigative Section is investigating both incidents. It is unknown if the same individual committed both robberies however they are considering that possibility at this time.
