Halifax Regional Police attempted to stop two vehicles in the same area, in two separate incidents, less than an hour apart and both failed to stop for police.
The first incident- 17-10680- On Saturday night at approximately 7:50 P.M. Halifax Regional Police officers attempted to stop a stolen Jeep Patriot on Albro Lake Rd, Dartmouth. The police were in a marked patrol car with emergency equipment activated, but the vehicle continued west up Albro Lake Road without stopping. Police discontinued trying to stop the vehicle but quickly located the vehicle on Leman Drive as the lone male occupant was fleeing. Police were unable to locate this male using a canine unit.

The second incident- 17-10680- On Saturday night at approximately 8:44 P.M. Halifax Regional Police officers attempted to stop a red Chevrolet cobalt on Albro Lake Rd, Dartmouth, for a motor vehicle infraction. The police were in a marked patrol car with emergency equipment activated but the vehicle continued east on Albro Lake Rd to Catherine Street and eventually coming to a stop on Farrell Road. Three suspects fled on foot but the driver was arrested at the scene. A 21 year old man will be appearing in court charged with evading police, unsafe storage of ammunition and obstructing police.
