HRP Investigating Two Separate Stabbings Today

Halifax Regional Police is currently investigating two unrelated stabbings that occurred today in Dartmouth.
 
At 1:38 p.m., police received a report that at approximately 11:30 a.m. a 22-year-old man was stabbed after an altercation with two or three men outside a residence in the 0-100 block of Trentonian Lane. The victim attended the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. There is no description of the suspects at this time. 
 
At approximately 3:50 p.m., officers responded to a second stabbing in the area of Farrell Street and Windmill Road. A 64-year-old man was stabbed by a man known to him. The victim was transported to hospital by EHS with non-life-threatening injuries. A suspect was taken into custody and officers remain at the scene. The matter remains under investigation by investigators with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division and Forensic Identification officers.
 
Both of these incidents are in the preliminary stages of investigation.
