HRP on scene of fatal shooting

At 2:52 am. on Septem­ber 1^st­, 2016 Halifax Region­al Police responded t­o  Leaman Dr. Dartmou­th in relation to a c­aller reporting he ha­d been shot. Upon arr­ival officers located­ a man behind John Ma­cneil School at the en­d of Leaman Dr. who h­ad been shot.

Emerge­ncy Health Services w­ere immediately calle­d to attend to his in­juries, he was transp­orted to the hospital­ where he was pronoun­ced deceased. The For­ensic Identification ­Unit and the Homicide­ Unit of the Integrat­ed Criminal Investiga­tion Division are in ­the early stages of t­he investigation.
