Police are investigating human remains found in Halifax today.

At approximately 7:55 a.m. today, police responded to a report of human remains located in the area of Long Lake near Old Sambro Road in Halifax. At this time, the remains have not been positively identified.

The investigation is in the early stages and investigators are working with the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner’s office who will determine the manner and cause of death.

No further information is available at this time, however; there is currently no evidence of foul play.
