I’m Hungry: Pumpkins Galore!

Now that the turkey is out of the way, it’s time to focus on the other fall favourite!  Good ‘ol pumkins are amazingly versatile and can be used in more recipes than you probably expected.  You may already save the seeds for roasting, but when you do your carving this year, be sure to save some of the lovely orange fruit (yes, it’s a fruit!) and try some of these recipes:

Fast, easy and filling for the whole family.  Serve this Pumpkin Soup with some crusty whole grain bread and you’ve got a great meal courtesy of the Food Network website.

A yummy recipe from Canadian Living, this Pumkin-Chocolate Bread will soon become an annual fall favourite with your coffee or the kids’ milk.

These Whole Wheat Pumpkin Pancakes, from a great food blog called Pinch of Salt would be sure to warm you up on a chilly fall morning.

We can’t forget about the little ones – check out these homemade Pumpkin Baby Food recipes.

Finally, if you want to get a little creative and impress the family – give this Pumpkin Gnocchi from Earthbound Organic a try.
