HRM release:

Curbside collection of solid waste was cancelled on Monday, December 4 due to poor road conditions. Recovery for this collection will occur on Saturday, December 9. If you have left your waste curbside, please remove it to assist with snow clearing efforts and return it curbside for Saturday morning collection.

Curbside collection scheduled for Monday, December 11 will continue as planned.

The Household Special Waste Depot at 20 Horseshoe Lake Drive will be closed on Saturday, December 9 but will be open on Saturday, December 16.

To ensure collection, residents are asked to place materials curbside, contained and secured to prevent access from wildlife, prior to 7 a.m. on collection day. Residents can also sign up for weekly collection reminders and service alerts, as well as print a calendar customized to their address at halifax.ca/whatgoeswhere.
