At 6:58 p.m. last evening, Yarmouth Town RCMP responded to an incident on Starrs Rd. in Yarmouth during the Santa Claus parade.
A 4-year-old girl had fallen under a passing float in the parade, resulting in her being transported by EHS to the Yarmouth Regional Hospital.
Shortly after arriving at the hospital, she was pronounced deceased.
The investigation is continuing.
