Indecent Act

A man faces a charge after an indecent act yesterday in Dartmouth.
At 6:30 p.m., police responded to a call of a man masturbating in his vehicle in a parking lot at the intersection of Queen Street and Irishtown Road. A witness parking his vehicle in the lot was waved over by the man, who had parked his vehicle nearby. As the witness approached the car, he observed the man masturbating. The man asked the witness to sit in the car with him and when the witness refused, the man left the area quickly. The man was subsequently arrested without incident at his Dartmouth residence.
A 71-year-old Dartmouth man was released from custody and will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court at a later date to face a charge of committing an indecent act.
