Indecent Act Charges

A man faces charges after an indecent act yesterday in Dartmouth.

At 3:20 p.m., police responded to a call of a man masturbating in his vehicle while driving on Pinecrest Drive. He appeared to be paying particular attention to children in the area. The man drove down the street in a white Honda several times before leaving the area. Several witnesses provided a physical description of the man, along with the license plate of the vehicle. Officers allege that the same man was involved in similar circumstances on April 8 and April 9.

At 4:25 p.m., police arrested 36-year-old Ryan Edward Byrne without incident at his Fletcher Lake residence. He was held in custody overnight and will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court today facing three counts of committing an indecent act.
