Indian Brook man faces drug charge, Indian Brook, N.S.

A 20-year-old Indian Brook man has been arrested for possession of marijuana. During the evening of April 8th, 2014, members of Indian Brook and Enfield RCMP Detachments and Street Crime Enforcement Unit executed a drug search warrant at a residence located on Tower Road on Indian Brook First Nation.

A 20-year-old Indian Brook man has been arrested for possession of marijuana.

During the evening of April 8th, 2014, members of Indian Brook and Enfield RCMP Detachments and Street Crime Enforcement Unit executed a drug search warrant at a residence located on Tower Road on Indian Brook First Nation.

The search resulted in the seizure of over 90 grams of marijuana and a quantity of cash.

One adult male was arrested and has been charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking. He was later released from custody and is scheduled to appear at Shubenacadie Provincial Court on July 7th, 2014 at 9:30 a.m.

The RCMP and the Indian Brook First Nation Chief and Council take the drug problem in the community very seriously and will continue to work closely together to address the harmful impact of drugs in this community.
