Indian Brook RCMP investigate break and enter with assault, Indian Brook, N.S.

Indian Brook RCMP is investigating a break and enter involving a violent assault with a weapon on a 37-year-old Indian Brook resident. At approximately 6:30 p.m. last evening, RCMP and Emergency Health Services (EHS) responded to a 911 call of a beaten male found in his home on Brown Flats Road.

Indian Brook RCMP is investigating a break and enter involving a violent assault with a weapon on a 37-year-old Indian Brook resident.

At approximately 6:30 p.m. last evening, RCMP and Emergency Health Services (EHS) responded to a 911 call of a beaten male found in his home on Brown Flats Road.

Preliminary investigation determined that a lone man entered the residence with a weapon, demanded some prescription medication from the victim and assaulted the man who was alone in his residence. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim was then transported to the QEII Hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries.

RCMP Identification Services, Police Dog Service and Northeast Nova Major Crimes unit were called to assist with the investigation. The victim and the suspect were known to each other, this was not a random act. The investigation is continuing.
