Inverness District RCMP Lay Charges in School Threats Incident

Inverness District RCMP has charged an 18-year-old Inverness man for making threats online.

On March 22 at 7:30 a.m., Inverness District RCMP received a report of threats posted on a social media site against students and staff of Inverness Education Centre/Academy.

Officers began an investigation and later that day, arrested 18-year-old Nelson Fletcher Rudderham at an Inverness home.

Rudderham has been charged with Uttering Death Threats.  He was held in custody overnight and appeared in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court on March 23 where he was released on conditions.

Rudderham is scheduled to appear in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court on April 19, 2016.  The investigation is ongoing.
