iPhoneography: Blood Collecting

As you might be able to tell, I really like photography. My husband and I have many a camera; digital SLRs, film SLRs, medium format film cameras, and a Leica. One type of camera we have never been good at maintaining? Point-and-shoots.
When I first met Dan, he had a point-and-shoot camera that produced a permanent spot on all the images. If it were framed it right, you too could have a black spot on your forehead. After that camera finally breathed its last breath, we used a Canon Powershot that Dan gave me for Christmas one year. That served us well… until I lost it (and all our wedding/honeymoon pictures) on our honeymoon cruise.
So now, I use my iPhone as a point-and-shoot. If Cameron is being cute, I’ll snap a photo with the camera app. But if the photography bug bites me, I grab a Nikon.
So, I like the challenge of trying to look through my iPhone screen with a photographer’s eye.
Today, I had to get my blood drawn. Well, to be truthful, last month I was supposed to get my blood drawn. But I got around to doing it today. I thankfully remembered to pull out my phone and tried to find something image worthy.
I used my Instagram app to boost the colour of the photo a bit. (Are you on Instagram? You should friend me. My moniker is mompants).
Do you have a phone photograph to share? Want to see more iPhoneography? If so, check out the link up with Courtney at Perfect Imperfections.

Laura O'Rourke

I’m Laura. Wife to Dan. Mama to Cameron and Gavin. Blogger. Photographer. I’ve been declared “baby crazy” by my husband. I’ve been blogging since 2003 when I was a teenager. My first blog post ever begged forgiveness for all the future blog posts that would follow. Consider that still in effect. I met my husband through blogging, I planned a wedding while blogging, and we tweeted the births of both of our sons. Consider this my memoir, my legacy, my letter to my children and my hand reaching out to other Moms. I love being a wife. I love being a Mom. I love blogging. And I can’t wait to meet you.
