Jane deWitte v. Canadian Mental Health Association

A Nova Scotia Human Rights board of inquiry is scheduled to begin Tuesday, May 20, in the case of Jane deWitte v. Canadian Mental Health Association.

The complainant alleges that between December, 2008 and March, 2010, while employed at a Canadian Mental Health Association branch office in Kentville, she was discriminated against because of her mental and physical disabilities. The respondent denies any discrimination, claims accommodations were provided and that Ms. deWitte’s termination was based on job performance.

The board of inquiry is scheduled to be heard until Friday, May 23, beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the Kennetcook Room at the Super 8 Motel, 63 Cole Dr., Windsor. The board chair is Nelson Blackburn.
