Just a short note to remind you that the January Meeting of the Council of Community Organizations (COCO) will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25,2012 at the Tantallon Public Library. Please join us to learn more about HRM Regional Plan updates, the formation of a water quality group to undertake  discussion of water quality issues as they impact on St. Margaret’s Bay. Discussion of stewardship ideas for the newly created Five Bridge Lakes Wilderness Area are ongoing. Learn more about other areas deemed for protection under the Province’s campaign of protecting 12% of public lands by 2015. Protection of coastal areas will be highlighted as well as other lands in our area to be recommended to the province for purchase and future protection. Please circulate this information widely.
