HRM Release:
(Thursday, October 14, 2010) – Attention motorists, A.C.L.
Construction has been contracted by Halifax Water to undertake water
main work at the intersection of Joseph Howe Drive and Clinton Avenue.
This scheduled work is part of an ongoing Critical Valve Replacement
Program.
In order to minimize traffic disruptions and inconvenience to Halifax
Water customers, the work will be carried out on a non-stop basis
starting the evening of Friday, October 15, 2010 with an expected
duration of 30 hours.
To complete the work, water service will be temporarily suspended from
10 pm Friday, October 15, 2010 until approximately Sunday, October 17,
2010 at 6 am on the following streets:
Crown Dr.
Roosevelt Dr. (Chebucto Rd. to Flynn St.)
Churchill Dr. (Roosevelt Dr. to Flynn St.)
Clinton St. (Joseph Howe Dr. to end)
Joseph Howe Dr.(Lexington Ave. to Round-a-bout)
Residents affected by this temporary loss of water service have been
notified.
Vehicle and pedestrian access will be maintained throughout
construction.
Halifax Water and A.C.L Construction apologize for any inconvenience
this necessary infrastructure work may cause.
