June 19th is Community Beautification Day in Uniacke Square

Area residents, in partnership with Halifax Regional Municipality, Halifax Regional Police and, the Metro Regional Housing Authority are hosting the tenth annual Community Beautification Day in Uniacke Square this coming Saturday.

The Beautification Day will involve various agencies and citizens in a litter clean-up and flower planting. The event will culminate with a lunchtime BBQ and entertainment on Uniacke Street, which will be closed to traffic from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Members of the media are invited to attend the Community Beautification Day.

Where: Uniacke Street

When: Saturday, June 20 from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
