With the warmer weather and the school year drawing to a close, the Traffic Unit encourages citizens to watch their speed and be aware of cyclists, pedestrians and children playing. Motorists are reminded that the faster you drive, the less time you have to react to a hazard.
The Unit’s focus during May was motorcycle and bicycle safety awareness. Officers in the Unit wrote 663 Summary Offence Tickets during the month for a range of Motor Vehicle Act violations.
