Our Spryfield Katimavik volunteers have been here, there, and everywhere in the community – from the Urban Farm Greystone Garden to the Salvation Army Resource Centre to Connaught Battery Park!
On Saturday, May 15, they’ll be packing the Rebecca Cohen auditorium at the Dalhousie Arts Centre, in a concert called Katimavik Rocks in support of the Canadian Cancer Society.
The concert runs from 8-10:30 pm, and features singer-songwriter Jenn Grant. In addition to the music, there will be videos and presentations to show what Katimavik does. Many Katimavik groups from the Halifax area and beyond will be present.
If you want to show your support, tickets are $25 for the public, and $20 for students/past Katimavik volunteers. Get them from the Cohen or at the Katimavik Regional Office in Halifax at 5663 Cornwallis. Call the office at 492-3111 for more details.
