Friday, Aug. 26, 2016 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that Kearney Beach at Kearney Lake, Halifax, has reopened to swimming.
Beach supervisors test the water quality at all supervised municipal beaches weekly during the summer months. Recent test results showed high bacteria levels in the water, but follow up tests show the water is once again safe for swimming, as per Health Canada guidelines.
