Keji remains closed, other parks reopen after post-tropical storm Lee

Parks Canada release:

Parks Canada advises visitors and the public of the operational status of Parks Canada sites in mainland Nova Scotia following closures due to post-tropical storm Lee:

OPEN: National historic sites

National historic sites, including Halifax Citadel NHS, Fort Anne NHS, Port-Royal NHS, Grand-Pré NHS are all open as usual. Georges Island NHS weekend visitation will resume this weekend.

CLOSED: Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site

Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site remains closed until further notice. Storm damage is minimal but the site remains without electricity. Parks Canada crews are assessing damage and clearing trees and debris and Nova Scotia Power crews are onsite working to restore power.

Kejimkujik National Park Seaside sustained more damage and remains closed until further notice while the full extent of damages is assessed.

The next operational update will be mid-day Tuesday, September 19 on the Parks Canada website and on Facebook.
