I hope you had an enjoyable summer, and that you are settling in to the swing of things as school resumes and fall activities get under way.
I wanted to send you a quick reminder about a few community meetings taking place in the coming weeks:
– Thursday, September 8, 2011, 7 p.m. –“Ships Start Here” Community Connect, hosted by the Greater Halifax Partnership and me at Ecole Beaubassin.
– Tuesday, September 13, 2011, 7 p.m. – Halifax Northwest Trails Association Public Meeting on the Blue Mountain Birch Cove Lakes Wilderness Area Development in the Thomas Raddall Room, Keshen Goodman Public Library.
– Monday, September 19, 2011 7 p.m. – Community Connect on Lyme Disease featuring Dr. Ernie Murakami, hosted by the Bedford Residents Association and me at Basinview Drive Community School.
Finally, I want to let you know that I was named as the critic for Community Services and Housing yesterday. As a result, I will no longer be the critic for Advanced Education and Labour. However, I will continue to serve as the critic for the NS Advisory Council on the Status of Women. And if you have any provincial issue – whether it’s education, labour, health or business-related, I’m most happy to assist as your MLA.
Sincerely,
Kelly
