Kevin Murphy Plumping Line: A Review

Calling all fine and thinning hair! Kevin Murphy just recently launched its new plumping line, and having the chance to give it a whirl I’m here to give you the scoop.

Consisting of three new products: PLUMPING WASH, PLUMPING RINSE and BODY MASS, the Kevin Murphy plumping line is the newest line to join the KEVIN MURPHY range. Available in salons now the line of hair products (which are in some neatly designed bottles I might add) are designed to thicken and plump thinning hair while also helping to prevent hair loss.

DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) plays a major role in hair loss, DHT is an androgen found in the body in the hair follicles. Woman can lose their hair as a consequence of changes in metabolism of DHT. The follicles shrink resulting in a shorter lifespan and the abnormal production of hair, hence the falling of thinning hair.

WHAT I LIKED ABOUT THE PRODUCTS
Didn’t weigh my hair down.  I have very fine hair, and it tends to get a little oily especially around the back of my hair around my ponytail (it’s [probably from all the dance classes that I do), but I find I tend to steer clear of heavy shampoos because they often make my hair greasy and fall flat. These products (I used all three together) didn’t weigh down my hair at all, in fact I definitely noticed some lift.
My hair felt really clean. Like I mentioned above I used all three products together, and my hair felt amazing. I’ve used products like Nixon for hair loss or thinning hair back when I found a bald spot (absolutely terrifying experience), but I found that the product made my head really itchy, and I felt worse
Smell. Despite its feminine packaging the products actually have a masculine smell about them, and don’t get me wrong I don’t mean this in a negative way I actually love the smell.
Cruelty free. While reading the label I also noted that these products are cruelty free, so you can feel better about that!
Packaging. I adore the packaging of this line. I think it’s so creative, and it reminds me of some kind of futuristic architecture. It definitely is a win in my books, but then again I’m a huge nerd for packaging. I think it’s so easy to just put your product in a regular shampoo bottle, but the design of this line clearly had some thought put into it, and I respect that.

Hope you found this review helpful I really liked the Kevin Murphy Plumping products, and I would totally suggest them to anyone who has fine or thinning hair!
