Kings District RCMP investigate fatal collision

At 6:44 p.m.​ a passing motorist notified police that a truck left the road and was in​ the ditch off Highway 12.

RCMP, Fire, and EHS personnel attended the scene and found a man deceased.​ Other occupants of the vehicle are being treated by EHS on scene with unspecified injuries.

Road conditions were reported to be snow covered at the time.

A collision re-constructionist was called to the scene and the investigation is ongoing.​ Highway 12​ is currently closed in both directions from Butler Road (Kings County) to the north and New Ross (Lunenburg County) to the south.​ It is expected the road closure will be in effect for +/- 4 hours.​ ​ Dept of Transportation has been contacted to assist with road closure.
