At approximately 9:50 a.m. this morning, RCMP responded to a collision that occurred on Lovett Rd. A car travelling southbound, left the roadway and landed in a river. The driver, a 51-year-old man from Kentville, was transported to hospital.​ The man was later pronounced deceased.​

Kentville Fire Department also responded. An RCMP Collision Analyst attended the scene and Lovett Rd. was closed but has since been re-opened. The investigation is ongoing.
