Knife wielding man tased, arrested after threatening abother tenant & security guard: Halifax

Shortly after 7:30 last evening officers were dispatched to an apartment building in the 5500 block of Cornwallis Street in Halifax in relation to a male in the hallway armed with a knife who was threatening another tenant in the building and a security officer.

Officers arrived but the accused refused to put down the knife.  Officers had to deploy a conductive energy weapon (CEW/taser).

The accused was then taken into custody.  No one was injured during the incident.

The accused also lived in the building.  The accused is being held for court in the morning facing charges of assault with a  weapon, uttering death threats and resist arrest.
