kris carr’s morning green juice recipe

I get asked a lot if I juice or blend for my green smoothies and the answer right now is blend – mostly because I find it quick and easy and clean up is a cinch with a magic bullet. I’m learning though that by juicing you’re allowing the nutrients to make it to your blood stream and cells a lot quicker since your body doesn’t have to go through the process of digesting all that fiber from the fruits and vegetables you just blended.

For the green smoothie challenge that I’ve been taking part in (which I LOVE! My skin has never been better!) I’ve of course been on the prowl for new green smoothie/juice recipes. I came across the wellness warrior Kris Carr’s morning green juice recipe that I’m going to be using and thought I’d share!

kris carr’s morning green juice recipe

– 2 large cucumbers (peeled if not organic)

– big fistful of kale (or substitute spinach)

– big fistful of sweet pea sprouts

– 4-5 stalks of celery

– 1-2 big broccoli stems

– 1 pear or 1 apple

– 1 inch of ginger or less

The beauty of green juice recipes is that you can make them with whatever you have on hand. If kale is too strong for your liking? Use spinach. No sweet pea sprouts? Skip them.

And here’s a green smoothie tip you won’t want to miss.
