LABOUR/ADVANCED EDUCATION–-Statement from Minister

NOTE: The following is a statement from Labour and Advanced Education Minister Kelly Regan, today, Dec. 14.

I received a letter from Premier Stephen McNeil asking that I, as labour minister, request the two parties involved in the teachers’ labour negotiations return to the bargaining table.

The chief conciliation and mediation officer has reached out to both parties and they have agreed to return to the table.

Any time the parties are talking, it’s a positive step.
