Landline Phone Contract Awarded

The government has negotiated a five-year contract for landline telephone services with Bell Aliant.

At current service levels, the contract is valued at $15 million to $16 million for the Government of Nova Scotia, an estimated savings of $1.3 million a year.

The contract allows other public sector users, such as school boards, post-secondary institutions, municipalities and health authorities, to buy landline service at the lower government price. Their savings will depend on the services purchased.
