Friday April 21, 2017 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that the streetlight conversion project that converts traditional streetlights into new energy efficient LED streetlights will continue next week in District 6 (Harbourview – Burnside – Dartmouth East).
Work will continue on various streets throughout District 6 over the next week. Road users are advised that crews expect to be working on the following higher volume streets during the upcoming week:
• Braemar Drive
• Montebello Drive
• Caledonia Road
• Woodlawn Road
• Commodore Drive
• Windmill Road
Work on these streets will generally take place between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday to Friday, but may also include some evening and weekend work. For short periods (less than one hour at a time), traffic signals on these streets may be set to flashing red or possibly turned off completely to accommodate the works. Motorists are reminded that when signals are flashing red in all 4 directions the intersection must be treated as a 4-way stop. If any signals are turned off, traffic control persons will be controlling the intersection.
