Friday, Mar. 17, 2017 (Halifax, NS) – Residents were previously advised of work that is taking place in District 5 (Dartmouth Centre) to convert traditional streetlights to new energy efficient LED streetlights. Work will continue on various streets throughout District 5 over the next week. Road users are advised that crews expect to be working on the following higher volume streets during the upcoming week: •             Pleasant Street •             Victoria Road •             Portland Street •             Mount Hope Avenue •             Nantucket Avenue •             Boland Road •             Prince Albert Road •             Downtown Dartmouth Work on these streets will generally take place between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday, but may also include some evening and weekend work. For short periods (less than one hour at a time), traffic signals on these streets may be set to flashing red or possibly turned off completely to accommodate the works. Motorists are reminded that when signals are flashing red in all four directions the intersection must be treated as a four-way stop.
