Local Elementary School Students Collect Food for Food Bank

On April 30th, 2011 a number of students from both Prospect Road Elementary and Brookside Junior High got together and collected a total of 565 pounds of non perishable food donations from the community.

Previously that same week Elementary Schools collected food donations for four days and collected a further 420 pounds of donations.

All together they managed to gather 985 pounds of non perishable food donations in support of our local community food banks.

Congratulations to these students on a job well done !

Thank you to Connie Reid for sharing this story.
