Local surfers needed for TV commercial

Jeff Spicoli at convenience storeHalifax-based Hennessey Casting is looking for local surfers to perform in a surfing-related television commercial.

For the role of principle performer (PP), Hennessey is seeking a Nova Scotia-born male or female surfer aged 25 to 35ish for a speaking role. The surfer must surf regularly, excel at the sport and have access to winter wetsuit.

Hennessey is also looking for two male and female surfers, ages 25 to 35ish, for non-speaking roles (i.e. silent on camera). Surfers must be experienced with a skill level that’s moderate or better. They should also have access to winter wetsuits.

If interested, visit hennesseycasting.com and create a “Talent Profile”. While creating the profile, select “Surfing TV Commercial” from the project list and the role that interests you.

While creating your profile, include some recent photos and a resume. If you don’t have a resume, outline your related experience in the “More Details” box on your profile. If Hennessey feels you are right for the part you will be contacted with more details.

If you would rather not create a profile on the site, you can send your photo and resume to casting@hennesseycasting.com with the subject line: “Surfing TV Commercial”. Be sure to indicate which role interests you. If you don’t have a resume, outline your related experience.

Auditions for the commercial, which will be produced by RPM Productions, will be held on Monday, October 25, 2010. The shoot date will be November 3 or 4 at Lawrencetown Beach, weather permitting.

Surfers are asked not respond to the casting call if they do not fit the specified criteria.
