Lunenburg District RCMP asking for public’s assistance regarding a suspicious occurrence, Mahone Bay, N.S.

Lunenburg County District RCMP are reaching out to the public for information following a suspicious incident that took place in Mahone Bay earlier this month.

On September 4th, Lunenburg County District RCMP received a complaint indicating that on August 29th, between 9 p.m.

and 9:30 p.m., a nude person was observed running from a wooded area onto Clearway Street and continued to run westbound. Due to the limited lighting conditions, the gender of the individual remains unknown however it was observed that the person was approximately 5’5′ with shoulder length hair.

Citizens with information that may assist investigators can contact the Lunenburg County RCMP at (902) 634-8674 in Lilydale, (902) 527-5555 in Cookville or (902) 275-3583 in Chester. As well, citizens can call Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), text TIP202 + your message to ‘CRIMES’ (274637) or by Secure Web Tips at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca. Calls to Crime Stoppers are not taped or traced and if police make an arrest and lay charges based on a tip, callers qualify for a cash reward from $50 – $2000.
