Friday, April 28, 2017 (Halifax, NS) – Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents and motorists that a traffic management project will take place at the Main and Morris roads intersection in Eastern Passage for two weeks.
Halifax Regional Police will be stationed at the intersection from Monday, May 1 to Friday May 5, and again the following week (May 8-12). Police will be managing traffic from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., and again from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on those days.
During these 10 days police will simulate traffic light conditions so the municipality can use monitoring equipment to collect traffic data. This project will help inform a longterm traffic management solution for that intersection.
Residents should expect minor delays in the area and use caution to ensure the safety of the officers.
The municipality and Halifax Regional Police appreciate your patience during this project.
