Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents and visitors that maintenance work is getting underway today, Sept. 20, on the Fallen Peace Officers Memorial located in Grand Parade Square.
A construction safety fence is being installed around the perimeter of the memorial, and a hoist will also be used during this work which is anticipated to take place over the next two weeks, weather permitting.
Contractors will be focused on general maintenance of the memorial, including cleaning the top portion and repointing the columns.
The municipality regrets any inconvenience this work may cause.
