Dates with this handsome little face? Sign. Me. Up.

Here we are on Sunday before our chilly icecream date in the middle of a snowstorm. The banana split was one hundred percent worth shivering through 😉

I love going on dates with Aidan. Being completely attentive to only him, talking about the things he wants to talk about, being silly together, letting him choose the special place to go is a wonderful break for the both of us to enjoy together.

No matter how many times I see it, walking past the bathroom and watching him comb his hair into “spikies” and put in gel “ALL by MYSELF, mama” melts my heart. He has his own little wallet stuffed in his back pocket filled with fun money and feels like quite the man when he lays down two toonies and a loonie on the counter for icecream. He insists, “mama I pay for our date”. His father taught him well 🙂

Luckily at 4 he doesn’t notice me telling the icecream girl to let on that he’s paying and still give him back his full $5 in change while mama swipes the debit card so he’ll still have change in his “man wallet”.
