Man and woman charged after disturbance in Halifax

Police have charged a man and a woman in relation to a disturbance where two others were sprayed with a sensory irritant early this morning in Halifax.

At approximately 12:40 a.m., police responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 100 block of Radcliffe Drive in Halifax. During a dispute a man and woman had been sprayed with a sensory irritant by two people who were known to them.

The suspects a, 57-year-old Halifax man and 39-year-old Halifax woman, were arrested without incident and are scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date to face charges of:

assault with a weapon

possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose

possession of a prohibited weapon

mischief
