Man arrested after police locate marijuana grow operation, Blockhouse, N.S.

The South Shore Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SSISCEU) arrested one male yesterday at the scene of a marijuana grow operation in Blockhouse.

On June 4th, the SSISCEU, with assistance from Lunenburg District RCMP and the Bridgewater Police Service, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a Northwest Rd.

location in Blockhouse. As a result of the search, investigators located an underground marijuana grow operation and seized over 200 marijuana plants in varied stages of growth. A 75-year-old Lunenburg man was arrested at the scene without incident.

The accused was released and will be appearing in Bridgewater Court on August 5th to face charges of Production of Marijuana, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Marijuana and Theft of Power. The investigation is continuing.
