Barricaded Person
At approx. 1134am Police attended an address in the 0-100 block of Rolieka Dr, Dartmouth to arrest an adult male on an outstanding warrant. When Police made contact with the male, he made threats toward police and stated he was armed with a knife.
The apt was contained and attempts were made to talk to the male. Negotiations continued throughout the afternoon. At approx. 5:10pm, the suspect , who was the lone occupant of the apt, lit a fire inside the apt. Members of the Emergency Response Team made entry, arrested the male and extinguished the fire.
The investigation is still ongoing.
