Man arrested for fraud and stolen property

Halifax District RCMP arrested a 40-year-old man following investigations into fraudulent activity and a theft of motor vehicle.

At 2 p.m. on December 18, police received a report of a man who had refused to pay for his hotel stay at a business on Bell Blvd. Prior to police arriving, the man fled. The investigation determined​ the man had outstanding warrants from Antigonish County and​ was​ in possession of a​ rental vehicle that had been reported stolen. Police located​ the man in the stolen vehicle near Commodore Dr. in Darmouth, a short time later. He​ was arrested without incident.

Nadav Joseph Even-Har, of Cole Harbour, is charged with Fraud and Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000.

Even-Har is also facing three charges of Theft under $5000 related to outstanding warrants​ in Antigonish County.

Even-Har was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court today and on December 20 at 9:30 a.m.
