Halifax Regional Police charge man for eleven counts of theft of gas.

On October 24, 2012, Halifax Regional Police responded to a “gas and go” incident at the Esso gas station located at 3600 Dutch Village Road. The individual responsible for the theft was captured on video. Since that date, the same individual attended the gas station eleven times, filling his vehicle each time and departing without paying.

This morning at 8:10 a.m., police responded to the gas station after the man was observed attempting to fill his vehicle. Officers were on scene quickly and arrested the male without incident. A 68-year-old Halifax man was held in custody and will appear in Halifax Provincial Court later today. He faces 11 counts each of theft under $5,000 and possession of stolen property under $5,000.
