Man arrested for theft of copper

On September 23rd, 2024, Kentville Police Services (KPS) responded to a call from Nova Scotia Power employees regarding the theft of copper wire and tools from a business site. The report led to an investigation involving the KPS General Investigative Section, alongside members of the Patrol Section.

Based on information gathered, KPS officers executed a search warrant in the Port Williams area. The search resulted in the arrest of Malcolm Troy Davidson of Port Williams, who was found in possession of the stolen items. All missing tools and copper wire were recovered as part of the operation.

Davidson has been formally charged with the following serious offenses:

  • One count of break and enter into a business,
  • One count of theft over $5000,
  • One count of possession of stolen property over $5000.

Davidson is scheduled to appear in Kentville Provincial Court in November to face the charges.
