Police Weapons Call – Dartmouth

At 9:40 a.m. 14 June, Halifax Regional Police responded to a noise complaint for an apartment in the 20 block of Lakefront Road Dartmouth.​

Upon arrival patrol officers discovered the apartment door open and a male sleeping on a sofa with a firearm beside him.​ Officers quickly secured the firearm and arrested the male without incident.​

Officers secured the apartment for a search warrant.​ Investigators with the General Investigation Section of the Criminal Investigation Division have charged a 28 year old male from Dartmouth with firearms offences.​

The male is held for court on Monday, 17 June. ​
