Halifax Regional Police is investigating a robbery that occurred on Friday April 7th, 2023, at 5657 Spring Garden Rd., Halifax.

At 11:46 a.m. on April 7th, 2023, a man reported to officers on Spring Garden Rd., Halifax that he had been a victim of a robbery near Parklane Mall at 5657 Spring Garden Rd., Halifax. The suspect was a man unknown to the victim. The suspect did not have a weapon but used physical force against the victim and stole an undisclosed amount of money.

Officers responding to the call located a suspect matching the description and arrested the suspect for robbery charges following a foot chase. The officers, victim and suspect were not injured in this matter. 

A 26-year-old man has been charged for the following offences:

Robbery

Resisting Arrest

Breach of Probation x 4

Failure to Comply with a Release Order x 2

The suspect is being held for court.
