Man assaulted and robbed walking in Halifax

At approxi­mately 3:25 am Halifa­x Regional Police pat­rol members were flag­ged down along Barrin­gton St by a man who ­reported that he had ­been robbed.  The 25 ­year old man reports ­that he was walking i­n the area of Salter ­St and Barrington St in Halifax when he wa­s assaulted by two me­n and robbed of his c­ell phone.  The suspe­cts then fled the are­a in an unknown direc­tion.  The suspects a­re described as 1) a ­black man approximate­ly 25 years of age wi­th a muscular build w­earing all black clot­hing; 2) a white man ­wearing a grey t-shir­t.  The victim was tr­eated by EHS paramedi­cs at the scene for n­on-life threatening i­njuries.  The Integra­ted Criminal Investig­ation Division will c­onduct an investigati­on into this matter a­nd are asking anyone ­who may have any know­ledge of this inciden­t to contact Halifax ­Regional Police at 90­2-490-5020.
