At approximately 3:25 am Halifax Regional Police patrol members were flagged down along Barrington St by a man who reported that he had been robbed. The 25 year old man reports that he was walking in the area of Salter St and Barrington St in Halifax when he was assaulted by two men and robbed of his cell phone. The suspects then fled the area in an unknown direction. The suspects are described as 1) a black man approximately 25 years of age with a muscular build wearing all black clothing; 2) a white man wearing a grey t-shirt. The victim was treated by EHS paramedics at the scene for non-life threatening injuries. The Integrated Criminal Investigation Division will conduct an investigation into this matter and are asking anyone who may have any knowledge of this incident to contact Halifax Regional Police at 902-490-5020.
