Man attacked with Axe on Barrington Street

Police have two men in custody after an assault on Duke Street today.
From Halifax Police:
On 20110705 at 1:20 pm, HRP members responded to a weapons complaint in the area of Barrington and Duke Street. Upon arrival officers discovered a male victim bleeding from the head as he had been struck in the head with an axe. The male was conscious, breathing and was transported to the QE2 hospital with non-life threatening injuries.Two males were taken into custody and the matter remains under investigation with charges pending. A weapon was recovered in the area similar to the weapon described in the assault.
