Man brings shotgun to Dartmouth bar, Young Street spa robbed

At 5:35 pm members of the Halifax Regional police responded to 5521 Young Street, Chrysalis Spa for an armed robbery. A male entered the store and produced a handgun and demanded cash. The employee complied once he got the money he fled the scene. The area was checked by the suspect could not be located. The suspect is described as a white male 6 feet tall, 160 lbs, 35-40 years old, wearing a blue bomber jacket and jeans. He was also wearing a black balaclava. File is still under investigation.

At 2:30 am members of the Halifax Regional Police responded to Montys Bar located at 245 Waverly Road for a male who had a shotgun and had just fired a shot. The male left prior to police arrival but his vehicle was located at his residence in Montebello. Officers secured the perimeter of the residence and the male was taken into custody. The scene is presently being secured by officers and a search warrant to search the residence is being sought.
